Natalie Martinez will next be seen starring opposite Steve Zahn in ABC’s midseason drama “The Crossing,” which centers around a mysterious group of refugees from a war-torn country seeking asylum in a small American fishing town, but the country they’re fleeing from is America – and the war they are fleeing hasn’t happened yet.
Following the success of her role on ABC’s crime anthology “Secrets & Lies” as the single mother whose son is found murdered, Martinez joined the DirecTV drama “Kingdom” as a talented, impulsive and inexperienced fighter. Most recently, she appeared in Fox’s procedural drama “APB” and in the independent thriller “Message from the King” opposite Teresa Palmer, Chadwick Boseman and Luke Evans. Additionally, Martinez can be seen in the horror thriller “Keep Watching” opposite Bella Thorne.
Also on the big screen, Martinez appeared in the sci-fi thriller “Self/less” opposite Ryan Reynolds, Ben Kingsley and Matthew Goode. Other film credits include the drama “Magic City Memoirs”; Paul Anderson’s action thriller “Death Race,” starring Jason Statham; Barry Battles’ action film “The Baytown Outlaws,” starring Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria; the crime drama “Broken City,” opposite Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe and Catherine Zeta-Jones; and in David Ayer’s acclaimed drama “End of Watch,” starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña and Anna Kendrick.
Martinez first gained recognition after being handpicked by Jennifer Lopez to become the spokesmodel for her fashion line, JLO by Jennifer Lopez. She has since gone on to star in the telenovelas “Fashion House” and “Saints & Sinners,” as well as the primetime broadcast series “Detroit 1-8-7,” “CSI: NY” and “Under the Dome.” Originally from Miami, Florida, Martinez currently resides in Los Angeles.
