Matt Olmstead[]
Matt Olmstead is one of the executive producers for The Crossing. He also wrote the ninth episode, "Hope Smiles from the Threshold".
“Matt Olmstead serves as an executive producer on ABC's midseason drama "The Crossing," featuring an ensemble cast led by Steve Zahn and Natalie Martinez.
Olmstead co-created NBC's "Chicago P.D." and "Chicago Med," and was the showrunner on NBC's "Chicago Fire." Early on in his career, he worked on ABC's "NYPD Blue," where he rose to executive producer in the latter years. Olmstead then moved to 20th Century Fox Television, where he was the showrunner on "Prison Break" from its inception, and co-created "Breakout Kings" for A&E.
Olmstead graduated from Chico State University and resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their five children.

Jason T. Reed[]
Jason T. Reed is one of the executive producers for The Crossing.
“Jason Reed is an executive producer and owner of ReDesign Entertainment, a company focused on building integrated franchise worlds for a global audience. Reed's most recent feature film release was Michael Bay's re-launch of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," which he executive produced for Paramount Pictures. Reed has also published several books including "Coins: Five Hammers of the Void" and "Brick Moon Fiction Anthology Vol. 1" – a collection of science-fiction short stories written by authors from diverse backgrounds.
On the small screen, Reed is the executive producer of ABC's midseason drama "The Crossing," starring Steve Zahn and Natalie Martinez.
Before launching his producing career, Reed was an executive vice president at Walt Disney Studios, where he oversaw a wide range of successful films including Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland," "Enchanted," "King Arthur," "Déjà Vu," "Bringing Down the House," "The Last Song," "Calendar Girls," "Kinky Boots," "Armageddon," "Pearl Harbor," "Blackhawk Down" and the "National Treasure" franchise. Reed also served as the general manager of Walt Disney Studios International Production, a division focused on producing award-winning Disney-branded films in China, Russia, India and the Middle East.
In addition, Reed is the founder of Seedstock, LLC, a Los Angeles-based social venture that fosters the development of sustainable local food systems through consulting services, conference planning, and the news and information site, Seedstock.com.
Reed received degrees in philosophy and cinema-television production from the University of Southern California.

David Von Ancken[]
David Von Ancken is one of the executive producers for The Crossing. He also directed two episodes for the series: "A Shadow Out of Time" and "These are the Names" (episodes 2 and 11).
“David Von Ancken is a prolific television executive producer, director and writer. He recently finished his second season as the executive producer and director of the hit CBS show "Code Black."
Von Ancken has also executive produced and directed "Tut," an epic six-hour action series for Spike starring Sir Ben Kingsley about King Tut's ascension to power, the chaotic political intrigue of the youngest pharaoh's rule of ancient Egypt and the mystery surrounding his death. "Tut" was Spike's first scripted series. Kingsley received a SAG Award nomination for his work.
Von Ancken executive produced and directed the reboot of CBS's "MacGyver," which was picked up to series. He also directed the pilot of AMC's post-Civil War series "Hell on Wheels," then continued as executive producer and director for its first two seasons, which helped to propel the series to a successful six-season run.
He executive produced and directed the first season of "Salem," the premiere series for cable network WGN. Under his auspices, the show was picked up for two more seasons. Von Ancken has directed multiple episodes of popular series such as Showtime's "Californication," FX's "The Shield," and CBS's "CSI: NY," "Cold Case" and "Intelligence." He has directed shows as diverse as FOX's "The Following," Showtime's "House of Lies," USA's "Oz," CBS's "Numb3rs" and "Person of Interest," NBC's "Heroes," and CW's "Gossip Girl" and "Vampire Diaries."
In addition to his work in television, Von Ancken co-wrote and directed the feature "Seraphim Falls," a civil war action-thriller starring Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson. Von Ancken was nominated for Gotham's Breakthrough Director Award for his work on the film.
His acclaimed debut short film, "Bullet in the Brain," won Universal/Hypnotic Films' Million Dollar Film Festival as well as numerous other awards at festivals, including The Silver Bear at Chicago, Rotterdam, the St. Louis Film Festival, the San Francisco Film Festival and South by Southwest.
